Poor little thing's flight was delayed several hours so we didn't get her until after 10 pm, but she was perfectly fine in her adorable pink carrier. There were several admirers watching us enviously as we claimed her, which I have to admit made me a little proud that she was ours. She meowed and cried some as we carried her through the airport but was shockingly calm in the car and even slept.
When we got home she explored the whole house. She is very vocal, meows at you when she wants attention, food, just for fun. And she is amazingly affectionate and trusting. She rolls on her back for you to scratch her belly (which I've never seen a female cat do before - most are very protective of their tummies) and she slept with us most of the night all snuggled and spooning (which Mister and Bitzel were probably none too happy with - neither of them slept with us).
As for the family dynamic, Mister (Trotsky) seems pretty ok with Princess, he has been following her around and trying to get a sniff in here and there when she's not looking (because when she sees him she puffs herself up and hisses a bit, probably because he is literally 10 times her size - below is a pic of her in "tough guy" mode). Bitzel (Stoli) is not a happy camper - every time she sees Princess she hisses violently (both at us and Princess) and runs the other direction. She hated Mister when he came home too, so hopefully this vitriol will lessen in time.
Her "official" name is [Breeder/Cattery Name] Princess Babka. I wanted to continue the Slavic theme in the other kitties' names. Since Babka is a type of cake/pastry, we have already knicknamed her "Princess Babycakes"...and here's a picture of a snuggly, sleepy babycakes:

Looks like she is settling in quite nicely! We just got a kitten yesterday and the poor thing is getting beat up on already so hoping we don't scare it away! Not even sure what it is, looks like a black tiger and calico. Glad she arrived safely to you!!

Ah Princess Babycakes is soooo cute! Once she settles in, she and the other two will provide you with so much entertainment.
As I mentioned earlier, DH is not a fan of cats, so I doubt we will ever get one. However, my younger poodle acts just like one, so in a way, I do have a kitty!

awww, how cute is she!!! My Phoebe cat also likes having her belly rubbed, in fact, when I come home in the evenings she is on the floor in the hallway, belly-up, ready for a rub!!!
However, she is also a very naughty cat, in the last 20 mins I have had to rescue a bird! Phoebe came flying in the window with something in her mouth, so I grabbed hold of her, she dropped the bird, I shut Phoebe in the kitchen, and then proceeded to rescue the bird. I let it out near a hedge and it flew off reasonably well, so I think that it will be ok! But CATS! Who'd have 'em!!?

At the end of May we went from two felines (both females) to three (a male!). Oliver just showed up and adopted us. Over two months later we're still going through the adjustment stage, but it's getting better. The newest (and youngest) decided just last night that he's had enough of being treated so poorly by the "matriarch" and let his displeasure be known!
