If you dial one digit off when attempting to call Babies 'R Us, you get porn. I don't know which digit was wrong, because I didn't try to recreate it, but I was trying to call and request my registry completion coupon and heard some hussy go "Mmmmm.....sweet" before I hung up. Classic.
Oh, and the BRU phone associate was a real peach.

but, in regards to the completion coupon - i got the run around from them too. they said they mail it out two weeks before your due date. what 38 week pregnant woman wants to wander around the store?! so i went into my registry and changed my due date to a few weeks before and lo and behold, i got my coupon right away. just a suggestion!

It's dialing 800 instead of 888. I did that one day and got the same surprise. The sad part is that I used to work the registry at BRU and I KNOW I gave the wrong number to some customers along the way!

Ha! I worked for a very large commercial bank a couple years back and the number to the HR Dept was a 1-888 number, but if you dialed 1-800 and then the number, you would get porn.
funny - you also get porn if you call 1800-OK FEDEX instead of 1800- GO FEDEX.
I used to work in a call center whose phone number was very close to the Herr's Potato Chip customer service line. We used to get calls all the time LOL

I never called about any registry completion coupons (but this was back in 06 so things may have changed). I remember getting a crapload of coupons for 10% off remaining registry items from Target/BRU. So what I did was, before using my 10% off coupon, I updated the quantities of diapers on my registry (make sure you have diapers on there so you can do that). If you didn't register at Target, atleast create a generic registry account. It is SO worth all the coupons.

Change your due date on your registry. I called 4 times before I got mine. Each time they would tell me it was in the mail and should be there in 7-10 days.
And yes, the BRU people are always peaches.
I tried to call and order a pizza here locally once, and, also with one number off, accidentally called a porn line.
The girl's voice said, "hey there big guy" before I hung up!
