Another quick note...

Things are going well - little man is sleeping now, and the cats have reacted amusingly to him. Puddin' LOVES him - hangs out constantly, meows sympathetically when he cries, and considers him just another "activity" in which to participate. Stoli is utterly unimpressed, mostly refuses to acknowledge anything is different. Mister, however is uber-agitated. We haven't seen much of him since we came home...he doesn't like noises, change, et cetera. Hopefully he'll come around.

Re: the private blog - to the person who doesn't understand the reason we would go private now and not before, it is that it's no longer about just us, it's about our son, and while I know most people are good, I'm not comfortable having identifying info about him and his life, together with pictures, on a site where literally anyone in the world can access it. If you've been reading at all you'll note that my anxiety levels tend to be, ahem, above average. I'm certainly not the first person to desire privacy rather than posting pictures and identifying info about my child on the internet for the whole world to see.

Also, to those who have commented that they don't have wordpress accounts and therefore won't be able to continue to follow, just as an FYI, it takes about 30 seconds to create a wordpress account, all you need to do is go to the site and sign up and then send me your username. Up to you, but just wanted to make that clear.

Hey Busted, Just to state the obvious - Toodle is your son, and its your family and you can do whatever you want re: blogging.

I agree with Amanda. I have a wordpress account and would love to continue reading, but you don't know me and I respect your request for privacy. While I'll miss hearing your updates on a more regular basis, I figured it was time to let you enjoy mommyhood and the start of this new adventure with as much privacy as you'd like.

And I'll still get to read about those 4 legged rascals! If it's time for you to move to a more controlled environment for the sake of your son, it's time and don't let anyone guilt you into staying.

Although, take it as a somewhat misguided compliment b/c it means they have really grown attached to you and your writing (wait, that can be flattering or scary. Let's stick with flattering)!

Yeah, I'm not really understanding those comments. He's your son and I completely understand your wish to go private. And I didn't have a wordpress account previously either. It totally only takes 30 seconds, if that... =)

So glad Pudding is entranced with her new plaything. The other cat will come around in time, he's pouting, sorry.
I feel the same way you do about our children. My sons don't blog and are entitled to their privacy. Wordpress took me 15 seconds, no biggie.

I started following your blog recently (may be 2-3 months back or so) and you have been such an inspiration and hope in my IF journey. I would like to follow your wordpress blog if you don't mind. I don't think I noticed your email address (sorry if I missed it). If you don't mind, could you please repost it?

Oh I am envious of Puddin's interest. My 2 cats still are annoyed that MT is in their house.

I feel really stupid. But for the life of me cannot find your email address. I've been following your journey for a loooong time now and do not want to miss out on your private blog. Was so thrilled for you when Toodle was born, although I have never commented before. I love the way you express yourself and I love the kitty's too.

If anyone has a problem with it, its simply THEIR PROBLEM. I completely understand that no one is as comfortable being as out there as I am.

If we don't hear from you, is it safe to say we're not on the approved list to follow the private blog?

Hey, I've been following your blog on and off for some time. I just wanted to offer you my heartfelt congrats on your son's safe arrival! I know you don't know me so I won't be making the move to your new site, but I did want to wish you well!

I am so very happy for you and after all you've been through, you more than deserve it. All the best.

People can be so snarky. Makes me think that blogs should all be private until granted access! Ugh...
